Paz De La Huerta, Hollywood's party girl, caused quite a scene at a recent UrbanDaddy party.We're beginning to think Paz de la Huerta has no equal when it comes to dropping jaws. The unabashed actress - best known for her work in "Boardwalk Empire"�- arrived at the UrbanDaddy Chivas Brotherhood party in a bitty black dress that showed a lot of leg and proceeded to turn a lot of heads at the Bowery Hotel soiree. One source at the party saw de la Huerta hand-feeding fruit to UrbanDaddy founder Lance Broumand. Another spotted her "nearly naked in the photo booth." Also drawing attention at the black-tie event were "Sex and the City's" Mr. Big Chris Noth and jewelry designer and actor Waris Ahluwalia, who was one of the evening's honorees.
Sidelined star seeks solace in spin class
While the Mets�were in Texas on Friday, third baseman David Wright continued his rehabilitation here. Wright, who was cleared on Thursday to resume workouts after he suffered a stress fracture in his lower back, took a 12:30 spinning class at Flywheel Sports in the Flatiron District. He wasn't the only celebrity in the room either. Another rider in the room tells us that Brett Hoebst, the newest trainer on NBC's "The Biggest Loser" also took the class, which was led by spinning instructor Jesse Alexander, who, we hear, has a loyal following.
By the way, Wright is either modest or self-conscious. Our source says he didn't register for the "leader board" that lets more competitive spinners measure their performance against others in the class.
Jamie Foxx ditches foundation gala
Jaime Foxx was a no-show at yesterday's Reginald F. Lewis Foundation gala luncheon in East Hampton. The actor was supposed to present an award to investment manager and former New England Patriot Eugene Profit, but never made it to the event. The reason is a matter of some debate. The late Lewis' daughter, Leslie Lewis Sword, told the crowd that Foxx had a family emergency, but a source at the luncheon tells us Foxx "just dissed them and didn't even call." Not so, says Foxx's spokesman who tells us "all parties were properly notified."
Jenn's funny bone saves her life
Jennifer Aniston�saved her character's life in "Horrible Bosses." At the Peggy Siegal Company-sponsored party for the movie at The Vault at Pfaff's on Thursday, director Seth Gordon told us Aniston was so good playing a sexually deviant dentist that he and the writers - spoiler alert! - decided against whacking her. "We figured that she was so funny in the movie that we would keep her alive," Gordon said. Aniston didn't join fellow cast members Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis at the bash, but the two press-averse actors did welcome the company of Eva Mendes and Kirstie Alley, who flaunted New York's smoking ban by lighting up indoors.
Ryan Gosling, East Village charmer
Ryan Gosling�is such a gentleman. The hunky actor brought a bouquet of flowers to give to Carey Mulligan after he caught her performance in "Through a Glass Darkly" Wednesday night. After the show, a spy at the New York Theatre Workshop in the East Village saw the actor hanging out in the lobby with a pal, "taking photos with fans," before presenting the gift. Gosling and Mulligan star in the upcoming film "Drive."
90 year-old leg amputee still kickin'
Leroy Neiman�got a rousing ovation at the Friars Club the other day. The artist celebrated his 90th birthday at a luncheon hosted by Broadway producer Irv Welzer - Neiman's first visit to the Friars since his right leg was amputated due to vascular problems more than a year ago. Also feting Neiman's comeback were ex-Mayor David Dinkins, Welzer's co-producer Herb Blodgett and the Vulcan-like Friars Dean Freddie Roman, who led the group in "Happy Birthday."
