Too bad she doesn't have Nucky Thompson to get her out of this one.
Paz de la Huerta, who plays the flapper girlfriend to Steve Buscemi's crime kingpin character in HBO's Boardwalk Empire, was arraigned Tuesday on charges she beat up a reality show star at a New York City nightclub last month.
And they say there's too much violence on TV...

Per the complaint filed by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, de la Huerta faces misdemeanor counts of assault in the third degree, criminal possession of a weapon, attempted assault and harassment.
Judge Frank Nervo also issued an order of protection against the actress barring her from having any contact whatsoever with the victim, Samantha Swetra, former sidekick to Whitney Port on the MTV reality show The City.
The two women tussled at a March 20 bash at the Standard Hotel in Manhattan's trendy Meatpacking District. The story goes like this, per the D.A.: de la Huerta took an interest Swetra's male friend, but when the ex-reality star asked the HBO star to stand down, de la Huerta allegedly socked Swetra in the face and hurled a glass at her, a piece of which lodged in Swetra's leg.
Swetra suffered a bloody nose and mouth in the attack as well as bleeding from cuts on her leg sustained by the glass, which prosecutors by law deemed a weapon.
(From the Weird Coincidence File: Lindsay Lohan attended the same party but was not involved in the drama).
According to the D.A., after the incident Paz told police, "I'm a real actress?HBO" while labeling Swetra's a "publicity seeker, a fake actress."
In court, de la Huerta did not address the judge and declined to comment afterward. But her lawyer, Jamel Oeser-Sweat, told E! News that his client is innocent until proven guilty.
"Obviously we ask you not to rush to judgment and let her have her day in court," the legal eagle said.
As for the protection order, Oeser-Sweat said this was typical of such cases.
"In any case of this sort where there's any allegation of assault, they always issue an order of protection. It's standard," the lawyer added. "She can't make contact, she can't write on Facebook, and she can't make third party contact either which to us is not an issue."
De la Huerta is due back in court May 19.
