George Michael is planning to make a chart comeback by recording a song for the Royal Wedding.

The track will be an old tune that the singer, 47, will be revamping in honour of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

'I think I've chosen a song for William and Kate,' George Tweeted on Monday.

'Suffice to say it's a beautiful song and it was never a single so chances are u don't know it.

'But I think it's a perfect fit. It was written in the seventies by a genius.'

George hopes to have the track ready before Wills, 28, marries Kate, 29, on 29 April.

'We have a mutual friend who i think will make sure it gets to them,' he Tweeted. 'That and the toaster....'
