Chantelle Houghton and Preston met on Celebrity Big Brother

Chantelle Houghton has only missed Mother's Day with her mum once - when she was auditioning for Celebrity Big Brother.

Usually they do something special together.

But even on an ordinary day, Chantelle and Vivien, 49, speak to each other on the phone about 10 times a day.

'She probably sees my name flash up on her mobile and thinks: "Oh God, not her again!",' Chantelle, tells Now, but she knows that's not true.

Chantelle needed Vivien the most during her divorce from Preston. She married The Ordinary Boys frontman in August 2006 and they separated the following June.

'I felt like a failure - as if I'd let everyone down, the 27-year-old admits.

'I'd moved to Brighton, had this huge fairytale wedding, but then I ended up coming back home to Essex.

'I talked to her a lot during that time but when I wanted my mind taken off things, she was there
for that, too.

'And she helped practically as well. She took in my two dogs while I focused on getting back on my feet.'
