Lindsay Lohan Posts $75K Bail Late Friday Night, Released From Custody

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Hours after leaving court and being booked following a judge's sentencing, Lindsay Lohan has posted bail and is no longer physically in custody, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to her booking sheet on the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department website, the actress was released at 9:21 PM PDT.

A source close to the LASD told Access Hollywood the actress posted the $75,000 bail and was released under the terms of a "work release" program.

Earlier in the evening, Lindsay was being held at the Inmate Reception center in downtown Los Angeles, following her afternoon hearing where Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced her to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for violating her probation during her hearing in her felony grand theft case, in which a Los Angeles-area jewelry store, Kamofie & Co., claimed the actress stole a necklace worth $2,500.

While she was in custody, Lindsay was treated as a high-profile inmate and did not have to share a cell with any other inmates, the LASD source told Access.

Lindsay is expected to report to a women's shelter in downtown Los Angeles on Monday to begin doing her community service.

During the hearing, which lasted throughout the day on Friday, Judge Sautner had reduced the charge against Lindsay to a misdemeanor - much to the dismay of the prosecuting District Attorney. However, after viewing surveillance video from the store, she then ruled that the charge still constituted a probation violation and ordered Lindsay be remanded into custody.

The judge then set the matter for trial. Lindsay's pre-trial hearing will be May 11 and her trial was set for June 3. Lindsay was ordered by the judge to personally appear for both occasions. She also must report on July 21 for an update on her probation violation.

Lindsay, who was accompanied by attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, was handcuffed and taken away after Judge Sautner's ruling on Friday.

She was booked at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse at 4:25 PM and later transported to the IRC downtown.

Authorities have said they will not be releasing Lindsay's mug shot.
