Fire damages apartment building in South Robertson area

LOS ANGELES - A fire damaged a two-story apartment building in the South Robertson area of Los Angeles today, but no one was hurt, authorities said.

Firefighters sent to the 1900 block of South Bedford Street about 6:45 a.m. doused the flames in about 20 minutes, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
