Denny Hamlin took over the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points lead by driving to victory in a race that will be remembered for Jeff Gordon attacking Jeff Burton after the two drivers crashed during a caution on lap 192. It was reminiscent of the fight between Cale Yarborough and Bobby Allison following the 1979 Daytona 500 and it came at a time that may reignite interest in NASCAR.
