Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will arrive in Los Angeles July 8.

Sounds like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in for a Hollywood-heavy weekend when they descend on Los Angeles from July 8 to 10, complete with a red carpet event and black-tie, sit-down dinner that will pair industry bigwigs with young British upstarts, according to a statement from Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, the couple's private secretary.

William and Kate are traveling stateside with an entourage that includes Lowther-Pinkerton, as well as James Pryce, one of the hairdressers who created Kate's wedding curls. Here's a look at their LA tour itinerary:

July 8: William and Kate arrive early evening and are greeted by the British ambassador. They immediately take off for a UK trade and investment event.

Later that evening, they attend a working reception at the consul-general's residence, where they'll hobnob (and vice versa) with California political leaders.

July 9: The pair head to a charity event at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club.

That night comes the weekend's marquee affair, a red-carpeted, black-tie, sit-down dinner in support of the British Academy for Film and Television Arts (BAFTA - the duke is president of the academy) at the renovated 1920s Belasco Theater in downtown LA.

The Duke will make a short speech, but no word yet if he and his bride will actually walk the red carpet.

July 10: The couple attend a private event in support of Tusk USA. William is a patron of the UK's Tusk Trust, which promotes conservation in Africa.

Then, it's back to downtown LA to Inner City Arts, which bring visual and performing arts to underprivileged urban kids. The royal couple will meet some budding painters and potters and take in a performance by dance and drama students.

For the final event, William and Kate will check out a job fair at Sony Pictures Studio for servicemen and women looking to return to the civilian working world, pack care packages for those deployed abroad and hang out with a family who has been able to reintegrate into life at home.
