UNICO president Andre Dimino has some harsh words for 'Jersey Shore' star Snooki.Snooki may have dodged criminal charges after crashing into a police car in Florence this week, but one Italian-American organization isn't letting her off the hook so easily.
"She really is the lowest of low and will do anything for attention, even hitting a police car," UNICO president Andre Dimino told RadarOnline.com Wednesday.
"She is our worst ever export and is an embarrassment for Italian Americans and our whole country," he added.
The "Jersey Shore" star, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, was reportedly driving with cast member Deena Cortese on a tour of the Italian city when she struck the police car guiding their way.
Two officers were taken to the hospital for whiplash after the minor fender bender, but there were no other major injuries. According to authorities, alcohol was not involved and no arrests were made.
UNICO has criticized the hard-partying reality show in the past for its negative portrayal of Italian Americans and Dimino points to Sunday's accident as just another source of shame.
"For MTV to go and film in Italy was totally ill conceived, and this latest incident has just added insult to injury as far as I'm concerned," he told Radar. "The whole situation is actually really sad, and it is painting our country in a terrible light."
"Jersey Shore" is currently filming the fourth season of the hit MTV show in Florence.
