'Idol' star Paul McDonald is dating Nikki Reed

Sorry, ladies. America Idol finalist Paul McDonald, who was voted off the competition last night - is taken.
"Yeah, well me and Nikki Reed are dating," McDonald said today in a press call.
There has been speculation since the Idol finalists went to the Red Riding Hood premiere and Reed, a Twilight franchise star, was caught on camera saying the two were dating (over Skype).
"It's officially true," said McDonald today. "She's super cool, man, she's super smart, really cool girl. I'm happy about it. We've been hanging out, here and there, you know we're both pretty busy, but it's been fun so far."
